Tutorial: Intentional Relaxation-Yoga Nidra Meditation

Speaker:

Rich Brenner, Restorative Hypnotherapist, Yoga, Meditation and Energy Therapist

Yoga Nidra literally means “sleep with awareness.”  It’s yoga for the mind. The body is in sleep mode while the brain is awake. Beta waves lower while alpha, theta and delta waves increase – for the better. A general rule of thumb is that 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra equals 1 hour of deep sleep. And deep sleep affects the body’s capacity to recuperate on a cellular level.  Regular practice helps lower stress and improve sleep while also improving mental and physical health.
